I am Andrei, a software developer based in Tuscany. I build websites, apps and tools for work. I develop both the screens you use and the software behind them.
Projects
These are some projects I have built for clients and for my own interests, with a short explanation of what each one does.
Personal product / Web and iPhone
I built RecipAI after finding my grandmother's recipe notebook from 1975. The app reads recipes from a photo and lets you edit, translate and share them with your family.

Personal product / Maps
I developed Stratum Atlas to view historical maps, aerial photos and terrain data. You can compare two maps with a slider and save places you are interested in. The website lists the sources.

Client project / Website and bookings
For Caterina's studio in Pontasserchio, I built the website, a booking system and management software. Customers can view treatments and book; the studio can manage its work from a phone too.
I built a system where customers choose a barber, service and time. The shop sees appointments in a shared calendar, with availability updated in real time.

I worked on the integration between an AutoStore automated warehouse and the business management software. The two systems exchange data and commands in real time.
I developed a system to view the menu on a tablet and send orders to the kitchen. Orders appear on the kitchen screen and the bill updates during service.

I prepare the main screens and user flows so you can review them before I start development.
I write the software, show you progress and test it on the devices it will be used on.
I handle the launch. I explain how to use the product and what maintenance it may need.
About me
Andrei ButnaruToscanaI have worked in software development since 2021. I started with business applications and later worked on healthcare and hospital logistics systems.
Today I develop APIs and web and mobile apps at a software company focused on Quality Management. I also study Computer Science at the University of Pisa.
Outside work, I build personal projects such as RecipAI and Stratum Atlas. They let me work on my own interests and follow an app from the start through to launch.
My professional experienceI mainly work with .NET and React. I choose other tools based on the project and the systems it needs to connect to.
